Here again some new tie dye look

This new tie dye look is something different from the design that I talk about earlier. Most of the tie dye clothing I have shown before was the tie dye on black background. But the good combinations of tie dye colors are look really interesting on white background too. Also this tie dye technique is look more abstract like painting on the white canvas.

80s Revolution Dress design

Back view

By use of lines and shapes tied in with the garment structure and pattern we can accentuate features. The manipulation of the center dart can create the heart shape on the bodice with the open lapel. The center pleat skirt complements the v shape torso. The use of matching v shaped straps on both front and back of dress ties the entire pattern into a cohesive design.

The ability to alter the dress into three different looks shows the versatility of this design according to how we wish to wear it. The use of full skirt design pattern creates the peplum which is inspired by the eighties look. Alternately the peplum can be removed to expose the designs of the pleated skirt underneath. Finally the peplum can be worn over the shoulder as a cape for evening wear.

The choices of how to wear 80s revolution dress

The eighties revolution dress is inspired from the clothes of the 1980’s period. By using textile patterns and materials of that age we help to express the feeling and the style of that era. This period’s use of pegged skirts with peplum is mimicked in the revolution.

The use of asymetrical with Lisu inspired garment

Asymmetrical line Lisu inspired design

The use on asymmetrical lines in the patterns of the clothing helps our eye see what is perfect in imperfections. The non symmetry at first looks like a flaw, but upon closer inspection it can be deduced that the asymmetry is designed on purpose. As each of us individuals on this planet are made perfect by our little flaws and imperfections so is the clothing we will wear that is designed to be a little bit off the ordinary path. The minor imperfections by design are there to show us how we are all created perfect because of our imperfections.

Lisu costume inspired outfit

Clothing designs inspired by the Lisu hill tribe should be as bright and colorful as the Lisu people. They are an animated and bold people whose clothing is lively, bright and designed to catch the eye. They are known for the highly intricate bands of brightly colored cloth strips that are applied to the ladies clothing as armbands and accent pieces.

Villages of this colourful ethnic group are originally from southwest China. They can be found in China, India, Myanmar. A few drifted into North Thailand from Burma [ Kengtung ] and can now be found at Fang, Mae Hong Son, Sukhothai Tak, Khampaeng Phet, Phayao, Lampang and Chiang Rai. It has been said that the Lisu tribe of Thailand is perhaps one of the best looking tribes amongst the tribes of their region and they tend to think of themselves as a little bit above their neighbors. They are the among the least bashful of the small ethnic groups. This natural flair for fashion and attention to esthetics has inspired beautiful works of fine craftsmanship in bags as colorful as the people of this small hill tribe.

From the hills of Thailand to fashionable, beautiful ladies across the world. For those of us who are naturally a bit more colorful than our neighbors these bags shout out for us, “Hello! Look at me I am unashamedly hot.“

These bright, colorful bags are finely crafted with great attention to detail. Row upon row of brightly colored, hand stitched small pieces of cloth shows the time and energy which was devoted to the creation of this artisan handicraft. Furthermore each is as unique as the people who use them. They are sure to be a hot summer fashion item when all the lovely ladies need something original and colorful to carry their goodies to the beach.

This coming summer, vivid ethnic inspired tote bags are really hot. As you can see from some celebrities carry the vivid handicraft bags. The bags made out of colorful fabric and add some vintage silver coin to expose the look of ethnic inspired

More about Rocker lether cuffs

Assortment leather cuffs

Leather cuffs have been around since ancient times when warriors would adorn themselves with leather to provide a light armor for their wrists and forearms. Modern day Leather cuffs are much more stylish and are obviously meant for fashion as opposed to protection. They do still evoke a more romantic era as they appeal to our primal side of fashion sense.
The leather makes us look and feel tougher and sexier. Whether your fashion statement is woven leather bands, patterns or leather with metal accents, the cuffs will make you stand out in the crowd. Can you imagine Conan the Barbarian without his leather cuffs on? Absolutely not! They make him a bit more rugged and believable. The same is true of the modern day Rock star. The leather and metal studs complete the ensemble for the rock star.
The organic and natural aspect of this fashion piece is another appeal. The leather will mold to your arm and soften with time until it feels like it is an extension of your body. It is a perfect compliment to any outfit that is a bit edgy and trendy.

Accessories Trend

Some ideas of leather cuffs in different styles

Speaking of accessories trend, I just want to pick up some style that I’ve seen on the fashion show runway which is “Leather cuffs”. Leather cuffs remind me of Rocker style. But I think leather cuffs can mix and match with different styles of clothing, not just only Rocker or heavy metal style. Leather accessories tend to use for matching with leather jacket for this coming fall.

However different patterns of tie dye are made from different technique of how they are tied to get that pattern. My tie dye line is pretty much in circle shape or spiral in varieties of color. I am doing some research about up coming new tie dye pattern and color trend for Spring/Summer 2011. Any idea guys?

Tie Dye can also apply use with hand bag

Some handbag designs that are using tie dye technique. The material that is good for tie dye is cotton. It will absorb the hue of color and also it will give a pretty correct color. The design of tie dye handbags, mostly simple not much detail on it. Since the tie dye colors already strong and outstanding, shouldn’t put much detail to compete with the color

To be continue from the last episode of tie dye experimenting

How to choose the tie dye color for garment is one of the topics you need to concern. The background colors that are using for tie dye clothing is somehow have to complement the tie dye pattern color. Either monotone or contrast color is all good depends on the concept and the outcome look you want to get. For the tie dye dress in this spring/summer collection I use secondary color like purple, brown, green as a background. Analogous colors and Complementary colors is some of the color theories I use for the color scheme.

Experimenting of new material with tie dye technic

Again this is a first quick sketch of the idea. Like I mentioned before about how important of drawing skill. It really helps.

The first quick sketch

This tie dye long dress made of 100% cotton at the top part and 100% silk voile at the bottom part. It was a new experiment of tie dye on silk voile. I haven't seen much of tie dye on silk voile, just because the character of silk voile is very thin and sheer. It is easy to tear apart, So that's why we are not really see tie dye on silk voile or even any other kinds of sheer fabric. But I really like the look of te combination. It gives the feeling of spring and summer look and touch. the purpose of using contrast fabric because I don't what to make it look too solid and plain so that's why the reason I added on light material at the bottom.

Just a short story of How I begin with an idea of my design

This is a fit sample that I tried it on and it fit okay. So then after this we sent it to tie dye department. But the fit sample actually changed after we tie dye it because the tie dye and wash process actually made the garment shrink. So From my lesson I suppose to dye the garment before I fix the fitting.

Fit sample before tie dye

This is how I come out with a rough idea. It was actually a quick sketch. I did it when I was waiting for the flight. I still believe that drawing skill is the most important thing to present your idea, even it was just a quick sketch. I know now everywhere is using a computer graphic presentation for a Fashion design. But don't forget to keep praticing your drawing skill.

The Begining of LML Fashion Destination

I tried to create the sexy look at the back by connected the braided front strap and created the line in the back.

The Back Detail

After I fix some of the error details. It came out perfectly what I want and the fitting is perfectly fit on body

Tie dye Balloon shape short dress in green

I actually fixed the pattern of the tie dye balloon dress after it came out not actually what I want.

Fixing the pattern

I think the blouse actually look better on model than mannequin. Since the material is 100% viscose, the nature of fabric is pretty light weight and fall down. So it is totally look godd when you actually wear it.
Also comes in Lavender

I still Have some Problem with the back neck pattern. They just didn't come out perfectly fit.
